Minty Girl n°1
Minty Girl n°1 is the first escapee from the Minty Factory.
Inspired by the explosion of viral collectible kawaii toys and plushies, Hapton decided to address this phenomenon by creating her own type of Labubu: the MINTY GIRLS.
Minty Girls are a reflection of our overconsumption led society, but not only. The true message here is a deliberate satire of the patriarchal consumption of girls and women. By creating artworks representing objectified women, the artist wants to create awe and unease on women's condition in the 21st century. The term "Minty Girls" is a play on "Girl in mint condition" often used by far right to describe virgin women.
