Behind the curtains

"Behind the curtains" is the first painting of the "Childhood memories" series by Louise Hapton. Too often we have put covers, thick curtains in front of our childhood. Maybe it was too bright; it blinded us. Maybe we wanted to stay in our black and white environment. But what if? What if we pulled these curtains, to face what has once been? 
 
The "Childhood memories" series is about growing up, letting go of the past... but not forever. It deals with contemplating our childhood and the traces it has left on our body; in our minds. The quest of the first version of ourselves. The quest of innocence, sometimes the quest of answers.
