"Fume Mania" is an original painting by Louise Hapton.
It is a kind of self-portrait, yet an uncanny element seems to trouble it: spray paint. For a long time, Louise Hapton didn't have good equipment to protect herself from spray paint fumes and chemicals. Many times after spray painting, her mouth was starting to bleed and she would sneeze blue. After trying different types of masks over a year and investing in an extractor fan, she can finally create in peace. Yet she will forever remember the taste of spray paint, hoping that no long-term complications are to come.
